Sewing 1950's house dresses

On Saturday afternoon, Olivia, Pj and I went to JoAnne fabrics for a big sale. McCalls patterns were 99 cents each so I picked up these two:
I've been dying so sew some cute, comfy house dresses and I found the above fabric on sale too! I was in a polka-dot mood that day. While I was shopping in my green polka dot dress, I fell in love with this both of these fabrics. The blue is a sheer but it will make a nice summer blouse if I wear a cami under it. The brown polka dots and cute pink print will both be house dresses since I have two vintage aprons (one pink and one brown) to match! Check in next week or so to see one of my completed house dress projects.

  2. Ooh! Can't wait to see the results! I love Joann's and always fantasize about the lovely frocks I could make if I sewed... And then make my way to the yarn! Hehe!

I love the blue one so much! It's so fresh and fun!
